David Koma Spring 2015 @ London Fashion Week

I first read about David Koma in a Kiki Magazine last year and instantly admired his geometric designs. Normally, geometric dresses are about equal to bulky, stiff, and unwearable, but I find David Koma's designs to have just the right balance of sharp angles and structure, and of softness and style.

Mixing fabrics, colors, and patterns and yet it all works. It's all about balance.

It looks like lines on the dress are simply erased. An incredible amount of detail and work must have gone into this.

Everything works together, all the transparencies, edges, fabrics, everything.

Maybe showing-your-bra-strap inspired looks will be popular this season. Who knows?
Take a look at all the details, fabrics, and lines in this look, including the strips on the side of the top part.

Everything is so well-placed and thought out. A collection like this is no accident.

This look is asymmetrical but balanced out so one side doesn't overpower the other.

  1. I love the sharp lines and cutouts and how it's balanced perfectly with softness. I've never heard of David Koma before, but thanks for introducing!
